absolut Blank
Project lead for concept development and live implementation.
absolut Blank was a new global creative movement, boldly turning the iconic bottle into a blank canvas to inspire a design collaboration with artists across the world. Brief objective was to take the campaign to a wider audience, building an experiential platform around the ATL campaign ‘It all starts with an absolut Blank’.
Teamed up with video artist Saam Farahmand to create an absolut Blank Live art installation. The installation pod allowed people to select their favourite dance tune and step inside to turn their movements into visual art. Participants were sent a Facebook gallery link to view and share their videos. The best video portraits were mixed into a live audio-visual set by world renowned DJ Jamie XX at the Village Underground wrap party.
For the following year, technology was updated to push creative boundaries in collaboration with Oscar-winning studio Framestore. Ground-breaking HD motion tracking technology recognised body movements by reading depth, colour and velocity, generating continuous unique real-time graphic effects for each dance.
Installation went to BLOC Festival, Village Underground, Brick Lane Music Festival and Bestival resulting in over 2,000 recorded portraits.
Campaign finale was a huge party for 1,800 people at Brixton Electric. Attendees watched live mixes of their portraits choreographed to DJ sets from Orbital and Little Dragon.
